Overview
Three.fold is designed with privacy as a default, not an afterthought. The app works entirely on your device and does not require an account, registration, or internet connection to function.
Data We Collect
We collect no personal data. Three.fold does not transmit any information to our servers, and we have no servers that receive user data.
All data you create in Three.fold — tasks, notes, and contexts — is stored exclusively:
- On your device in a local SwiftData database (default), or
- In your private iCloud account if you choose to enable iCloud Sync (optional).
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your tasks and notes are stored in your personal, private iCloud container (iCloud.dolinski.io.Threefold). This data is:
- Accessible only to you and the devices signed in to your Apple ID
- Governed by Apple’s iCloud Privacy Policy
- Never accessible to the developer or any third party
You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in Settings → Data → iCloud Sync. Disabling sync does not delete your local data.
Analytics & Tracking
Three.fold contains:
- No analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar)
- No advertising networks
- No crash reporting services that transmit data externally
- No tracking pixels or third-party cookies
We do not know how you use the app. We do not know if you use the app at all.
Notifications & Badges
Three.fold may request permission to display a dock badge showing the number of tasks in your Today column. This is used solely to display the count on your dock icon. No notification data leaves your device.
App Groups
Three.fold uses an App Group (group.dolinski.io.Threefold) shared with its Widget Extension. This allows the widget to read your Today task list directly from your device. No data is transmitted externally through this mechanism.
Children’s Privacy
Three.fold does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because we collect no data, there is no differentiated treatment for children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this document and include a summary of what changed. For significant changes, we will note them in the App Store release notes.
