Welcome to Prism Browser! Here's everything you need to know to get started with your new privacy-focused browser.
First Time Setup
- Create Your First Profile: Prism uses profiles to separate your browsing contexts (work, personal, shopping, etc.)
- Choose Your Colors: Each profile has a unique color for easy identification
- Enable Features: Turn on ad blocking, desktop mode, and other features per profile
- Set as Default: Make Prism your default browser in Settings β General β Default Browser App

How do I create a new profile?
Tap the profile icon in the bottom left corner, then tap "Add Profile". Choose a name, color, and icon for your new profile. You can enable features like ad blocking and desktop mode during setup or change them later in profile settings.
How do I switch between profiles?
Tap your current profile icon in the bottom left corner to see all your profiles. Tap any profile to switch to it instantly.
How do I enable ad blocking?
Ad blocking is enabled by default for new profiles. To toggle it:
- Tap your profile icon
- Tap the settings gear next to your profile name
- Toggle "Ad Blocking" on or off
What is Desktop Mode?
Desktop Mode makes websites think you're browsing from a Mac instead of an iPad. This gives you access to full desktop versions of sites. Enable it in your profile settings.
How do I lock a profile with Face ID?
To protect a profile with biometric authentication:
- Go to profile settings (tap profile icon β settings gear)
- Toggle "Biometric Lock" on
- You'll need to authenticate with Face ID/Touch ID each time you access this profile
How do I manage bookmarks?
Tap the bookmark icon in the address bar to save a page. To view all bookmarks, tap the bookmark icon in the bottom toolbar. You can pin favorites to appear in your homepage for quick access.
How do I open incognito tabs?
Tap the tab icon, then tap "New Incognito Tab". Incognito tabs don't save history, cookies, or form data.
Can I sync my data across devices?
Currently, Prism stores all data locally on your device for maximum privacy. Cloud sync is not available, but may be added in future updates with end-to-end encryption.
How do I clear my browsing history?
Go to Settings β History. You can clear history for specific time periods or all history at once. Each profile has its own separate history.
How do I delete a profile?
Tap your profile icon β tap the settings gear next to the profile you want to delete β scroll down and tap "Delete Profile". This will permanently delete all data for that profile.
π§ Troubleshooting
App is slow or unresponsive
- Close unused tabs to free up memory
- Clear browsing history and cache
- Restart the app
- Update to the latest version
Websites not loading correctly
- Try disabling ad blocking for that specific site
- Toggle Desktop Mode on/off
- Clear cookies and website data for that site
- Check your internet connection
Face ID/Touch ID not working
- Make sure biometric authentication is enabled in iOS Settings β Face ID & Passcode
- Try re-enabling Biometric Lock in profile settings
- Restart your device
Can't set Prism as default browser
- Go to iOS Settings β Prism β Default Browser App
- Select "Prism" from the list
- Requires iOS 14 or later

What data does Prism collect?
Prism is designed with privacy first. We DO NOT collect:
- Your browsing history
- URLs you visit
- Search queries
- Passwords or credentials
- Any personal browsing data

How does ad blocking work?
Prism uses WebKit's content blocking API to filter known advertising and tracking domains. All filtering happens locally on your device - no data is sent to external servers.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes! All data is encrypted using iOS-level encryption. Profile biometric locks add an extra layer of security.

What's included in Prism Premium?
Premium features include:
- Unlimited profiles (free: 3 profiles)
- Unlimited tabs per profile (free: 10 tabs)
- Advanced ad blocking
- Priority support
- Early access to new features
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple:
- Go to iOS Settings β [Your Name] β Subscriptions
- Find "Prism Browser" and tap it
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
You'll continue to have access until the end of your billing period.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID to request a refund for your purchase.
