2. How We Use Information

2.1 Local Data Processing

All your browsing data is processed locally on your device to:

Provide core browser functionality
Enable features like bookmarks, history, and profiles
Apply ad blocking and tracking protection
Sync data between your profiles (locally only)

If you grant tracking permission, we may collect anonymous usage data to:

Note: You can disable tracking at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.

Apple App Store & In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple
Apple's Privacy Policy applies to payment processing
We receive only subscription status information (no payment details)

Websites You Visit

When you browse the web, you interact directly with websites
Those websites may collect data according to their own privacy policies
Prism Browser's ad blocking and tracking protection help reduce third-party tracking

4. Ad Blocking and Tracking Protection

Prism Browser includes built-in content blocking to protect your privacy:

Ad Blocking: Blocks known advertising networks and trackers
Tracker Prevention: Prevents websites from tracking your activity across sites
Per-Profile Control: Enable or disable blocking on a per-profile basis
Local Processing: All filtering happens on your device; no data is sent to our servers

5. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your data:

Local Storage: All sensitive data stays on your device
Profile Isolation: Each profile has separate data storage
Biometric Lock: Optional Face ID/Touch ID protection for profiles
Incognito Mode: Private browsing that doesn't save history or cookies
Data Encryption: iOS-level encryption protects your device data

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Control Your Data

You have full control over your data in Prism Browser:

Delete History: Clear browsing history anytime (per profile or all)
Delete Bookmarks: Remove any bookmark you've saved
Delete Profiles: Remove profiles and all associated data
Clear Website Data: Clear cookies, cache, and local storage

6.2 Tracking Permission

iOS requires apps to ask permission before tracking:

You can deny tracking permission without affecting app functionality
Change your decision anytime in iOS Settings
Prism Browser works fully without tracking enabled

7. Children's Privacy

Prism Browser is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Users

Prism Browser is available globally. All data is stored locally on your device, regardless of your location. We comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California).

9. Data Retention

Local Data: Stored on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
Subscription Data: Retained by Apple according to their policies
Analytics: Aggregated and anonymized; retained for 24 months maximum

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

Posting the new policy in the app
Updating the "Last Updated" date
Sending an in-app notification (for major changes)

Continued use of Prism Browser after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
